Term 4
Primary 6 have returned from a well deserved Easter break to their final term this session. We are feeling refreshed and ready to take on new challenges, of which we have many.
We have begun our cycling proficiency programme with Miss Paterson and Mrs Gordon. We are already learning lots of new skills to set us up for cycling on the roads and know how to maintain a road worthy bicycle and ways to keep ourselves safe at all times. We will also learn the rules of the road through our theory programme.
We are excited about our new topics this term and hope we can book a trip very soon! Our science topic will be 'The Human Body' and our R.M.E. topic is looking at the Hindu Mandir (temple). Primary 6 enjoy learning about other people's faiths and are learning to show respect for others.
Later on this month we will be meeting our Primary 1 buddies when they come to visit their new school. We are very excited and cannot wait to welcome the new entrants to Kirklandneuk. We will have so much responsibility as Primary 7s next session and now is the time to start preparing. We will also have very important monitoring duties and jobs around the school which we will be trying out next week when the P7s are on their residential trip.
Many of us are performing in the production of Annie later on in the term. We have been rehearsing non stop and know it will be a great show for all involved and for those in the audience.
